Credits, Billing & Wallet Guide

How Oppy pricing works — credits, auto-recharge, usage costs, and managing your account.

How Credits Work

Everything in Oppy is priced in credits. One credit = $0.05 USD.

Your account has two credit pools:

  • Plan Credits — Included with your subscription, reset monthly on your renewal date
  • Prepaid Credits — Purchased on-demand, never expire

Your total balance is the sum of both pools. Plan credits are consumed first each month.

What Costs Credits

Text, Email & Chat (Low Cost)

Action Credits Dollar Cost
Inbound SMS 1.0 $0.05
Outbound SMS 1.0 $0.05
Inbound Email 0.5 $0.025
Outbound Email 0.5 $0.025
Inbound Web Chat 0.5 $0.025
Outbound Web Chat 0.5 $0.025

Typical text conversation (10-20 messages): 10-20 credits = $0.50-$1.00

Voice Calls (Higher Cost)

Action Credits Dollar Cost
Connected call (base) 25.0 $1.25
Left voicemail 14.0 $0.70
No connection/failed 1.5 $0.075
Per 10 seconds of talk time 1.17 $0.058

Typical 5-minute call: 25 + (30 x 1.17) = ~60 credits = ~$3.00

Other Actions

Web search, knowledge base queries, image generation, and other AI functions consume credits based on token usage. Typically small (1-5 credits per function call).

Auto-Recharge (Never Run Out)

Set up automatic credit purchases so your Oppies never stop working.

How to Enable

At app.oppy.pro > Account Settings > Billing > Auto-Recharge

Configuration

Setting What It Does Example
Threshold Recharge when balance drops below this 250 credits
Recharge Amount How many credits to buy each time $100 (500 credits)
Monthly Spend Cap Maximum auto-recharge spend per month $500/month
Payment Method Saved card via Stripe Visa ending 4242

How It Works

  1. Your balance drops below your threshold (e.g., below 250 credits)
  2. System automatically charges your saved payment method
  3. Credits are added instantly
  4. Respects your monthly spend cap (won’t recharge if it would exceed)
  5. Cap resets on your subscription renewal date each month

Safety Features

  • Auto-disables after 3 consecutive payment failures (declined card)
  • Monthly spend cap prevents runaway charges
  • Email notifications when auto-recharge triggers

Low Balance Warnings

The system sends email alerts at three levels:

Remaining Credits Alert Level What Happens
1,000 Warning Friendly reminder, no action blocked
250 Urgent Strong warning, services may be affected soon
50 Critical Final notice, operations will be blocked

Alerts are sent max once per day per tier. If auto-recharge is working, you typically won’t see these.

What Happens at Zero Credits

Balance Behavior
100+ credits Everything works normally
1-100 credits Warning prompts shown, expensive operations (voice calls) may be blocked
0 credits All billable actions blocked until credits are added

Managing Your Billing

Billing Portal

Access your Stripe billing portal for:

  • Update payment method
  • View invoices and payment history
  • Download receipts
  • Manage subscription

At app.oppy.pro/billing-and-plans > Manage Billing

Checking Your Usage

  • Dashboard: View current credit balance and usage at app.oppy.pro
  • Account Concierge: Ask “How many credits have I used this month?” or “What is my current balance?”
  • Usage breakdown: See credits consumed by conversation type (SMS, voice, email, chat)

Credit Tracking & Transparency

Every credit spent is recorded with full context:

  • What triggered it — which conversation, message, or call
  • When — exact timestamp
  • Why — feature type (voice_call, text_inbound, email_outbound, etc.)
  • Who — which Oppy consumed the credits

You can always audit exactly where your credits went and optimize usage.

Cost Optimization Tips

  1. Use web chat for high-volume, low-value interactions — at $0.025 per message, it is 50x cheaper than voice
  2. Reserve voice calls for high-value leads — a 5-min call costs ~$3, use it when the lead is warm
  3. Set follow-up limits — cap max attempts to avoid spending credits on unresponsive contacts
  4. Use knowledge bases over web search — KB searches are cheaper than real-time web searches
  5. Monitor DNC rates — high opt-out rates waste credits on outreach that gets rejected
  6. Enable auto-recharge with a spend cap — prevents both running out AND overspending
